Joining the Digital Marketing Empire team should be relatively easy and achievable by most people that have complete mastery over the English language and have solid writing abilities in it.
The project is designed to be as inclusive as possible, and give a fair shot to anyone that’s looking to build a passive income stream for themselves.
Still, every contributor that joins the team will add additional work to the mentoring team members (mentoring, editing, going through reports, payments, etc). That is why we can’t accept everyone, and even though we want as big of a team as possible, we still want team members that will require as little time spent in training them as possible.
For that reason, applicants will need to go through a short interview process so that we can determine whether they are a good fit for the team. Here’s what you need to know about the process.
Digital Marketing Empire application and basics
Some applicants might be declined immediately after filling in the application to join the Digital Marketing Empire.
In reality, most of the applicants that fulfill a set of criteria that I will not disclose here will be accepted.
Just be aware that the application itself is not something that everyone completes successfully.
Digital Marketing Empire interview
If your application is accepted and after you’ve gone through the basic resources on how the Digital Marketing Empire will work, you will be notified via the email you’ve entered in the application form (so make sure you enter the correct email).
After that, we will schedule a brief video call for the interview.
The applicant picks an available time slot on Calendly, and the video call will usually be done through Zoom. You must have access to a device with a larger screen for the interview (we can’t do the interview through your mobile phone).
The interview has two parts:
- the live video call itself (chat + English test)
- the writing assignment you receive after the video call
The video call will probably last around 20 minutes, and you will have 30 minutes to complete the written assignment, so the whole interview shouldn’t take you more than an hour.
Also, the following point is probably redundant and there’s no real need for me to mention it, but I will still go ahead and mention it – cheating on the interview is pointless. You are not applying for a job here – we are looking for serious, devoted entrepreneurs that are willing to work hard, and the only way that you will earn money with this project is if you work hard in the correct way. If you try to bypass the interview, you will simply fail to deliver good work later, and you will be removed from the team anyway, so you will just be wasting your time. So, yeah, don’t cheat.
Video call
We will start the video call with a brief introductory chat.
At this point, you should be at least somewhat familiar with how the entire project will work, but if you have any questions that I haven’t covered or you’d like further clarification on, you are free to ask.
The person interviewing you will also ask you a few simple questions about your skills, interests, etc.
After that, you will be given a test on your English language level.
English language test
Before you begin the English test, you will be asked to share your screen with the interviewer. Once you do that, you will receive a link that will point you to a quiz that will test your English level.
From that point, you will have 15 minutes to complete the test. In practice, the test will take less than 5 minutes to complete successfully if you are familiar with the language.
If you fail to complete the test in 15 minutes, you will fail the interview.
Writing assignment
After the English test is done, you will be given your writing assignment.
You will do the writing assignment on your own, which means the video call will end.
Still, you will have a time limit of 30 minutes to deliver the assignment. If you deliver the assignment later than the deadline, every minute you’re late will subtract points from your score, and applicants that deliver the assignment on time will have an advantage.
You will be given clear instructions on how to perform the assignment beforehand.
The writing assignment will involve writing several short paragraphs on a given subject.
You will also have access to a piece of text that will serve as your template. You will read the text before you start writing your own, and you will try to emulate the style, the way of expressing, and the whole approach.
The only difference will be that the template text will be on one subject, and you will be writing on a different subject.
The test will measure how well you can write, but also how well you can follow instructions and adapt to existing frameworks, which will be crucial for working in the team further.
Once you deliver the writing assignment, the interview process is over.
Results
How we score the results will not be disclosed.
You will receive a notification of whether you’ve passed or failed the interview after a few days.
If you’ve passed the interview, you will get access to the basic Digital Marketing Empire videos, and you will also receive the Digital Marketing Empire Contributing Partner Contract to sign, after which you will enter the onboarding and training phase.
